I agree with one thing Winefix,
I would rather listen to the BLUES any day, every day, than listen to cables!!!!!
I think some cables make a difference, but it is likely digital ones do not, or not much.
Happy Listening,
God Bless,
Wayne

Yep, high end USB is waste of money.

I will be recommending to my customers to buy a $2 cable and save for better equipment.

I recommend the Kimber USB cable B Bus CU AB with Ferrite noise reduction beads. I have compared this cable with the Audioquest Cinnamon and a standard USB printer cable and the sound is better with the Kimber. It is their least expensive cable and is $60 for a 1 meter length. I think the equipment you have makes a difference as well. Currently I am using my Oppo BDP-105D for my DAC feeding my McIntosh C2500 then going to the McIntosh MC352 to drive the Triton 1s.

Well mdewire, nobody could argue with your system! NICE
IF a difference could be heard, then it should be on your system.
But Winefix has an awesome system too. So may be differences in cables or system or you guys ears. Some might be sensitive to something a cable does that others are not sensitive to. Beyond me.
Happy listening,
God Bless,
Wayne

I am now using a $2 cable and it sounds the same.

If there was the slightest difference than I would have heard it, trust me.
My system with the Triton Ones is very revealing and deadly quiet.
I just proved this to my friend who owns a set of Maggie's 20.7 and swapped out his Cardas USB with two buck chuck and he could not tell which cable I connected with tracks he is very familiar with.

If anyone is unsure, they should have some one else swap out cables blindly for them for a proper A/B test.
I would love to do this with the reviewers out there, their results would be all over the map and not at all repeatable.

$500 usb cables look better though !!
Good times, good wine, and great music !!

Another "professional" review to stir debate. I'd like to have a first hand blind audition. To say I'm skeptical would be an under statement! One thing is for certain, I would never spend this much on an USB cable.

Cheers,

T Cobe
