Dear Boys and Girls, horses and squirrels,
With the girlie going to univ. soon and now the proud owner of a drivers' license, we gave her the Honda CRV and bought a new Mazda CX-5 in soul red crystal, it is a stunner. And the first diesel I ever owned, it has a 2.2 liter twin turbo engine that is way faster and has a lot more torque than the somewhat underpowered CX-5 sold in America. They are trying to bring the diesel there but it still has not passed all the emissions tests (made much worse by VW/Audi cheating).
Anyway, the top model which we got has a moon roof, something I have been wanting for years, LOTS of safety features and a Bose 10 speaker audio system. Now I am NOT a BOSE fan, never was, probably never will be, but it is what came with this red beauty.
It has the strangest subwoofer I ever saw, it sits inside of the spare tire under the carpet. But it shakes the whole car. Bass is pretty good, mids pretty good, highs just OK, NOT comparable to our HFVR.
It can be set to have a semblance of surround sound, which is OK. It has the system where it gets louder the faster you drive, which I really like.
Early days yet, have to listen more, but For a car system, it is OK. Not as good as after market stuff, but not as boomy either.
Looks good.
We need some car audio from GEt featuring the HVFR.
What are your thoughts, I know there are plenty of BOSE Haters out there like me.
God Bless,
Wayne

Bose, really? This is how they get you. First they get in your car, then they infiltrate your home. Won't be long til they completely take over. My condolences !! Been nice knowing ya...:woohoo:
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

Yeah, I know, my car sound is clearly inferior to my home theater sound, clearly inferior to my ciems and dap.
BUT, and I hate to admit this, for car sound it is really pretty darn good. Actually, surprisingly Hi Res files shine through nicely and make their presence known. I am enjoying music in the car.
Life is good,
God Bless,
Wayne

I have Harmon Kardon systems in my Subaru Forester and BMW 335 - and I’m satisfied with them, but rarely listen to music (mostly audiobooks) because the DACs used aren’t particularity good.

In previous vehicles I have had Bose. It was not an impressive upgrade. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Triton Two front L/R
SuperSat 50c center
Triton Seven surround L/R
SuperSat 50 surround rear L/R
AVR Arcam AVR-21
Amp Marantz mm7025
Velodyne optimum 10” sealed, back left corner
SuperSub X front-right corner
