Still need to consider if the level of enjoyment
will be the same when just listening to music
when compared to the 1's, not to mention the
work to add subs.

Still though I would really like adding the ceiling
speakers for the Atmos sound of bubble effect.

I agree with what I think it was T. Cobe said, get the best speakers you can get, which would be the Triton Ones.
Three T 1s across the front would be awesome!!!!
Yes, you will lose a little of the magic of what they can ultimately do by having them back near the wall, but IF the screen is one that will be raised and lowered, you can pull them out when it is raised, IF you were going for just music listening.
Just a thought, but I am sure whatever you decide will be amazing.
I can relate to the age and hearing remark, but don't sell yourself short, I am older than you, worked on oil rigs for a lot of my life and have tinnitus, but my ears thrill me daily with the music and movies I can enjoy!!!!
Great speakers make a HUGE difference, I have the T 2s, so I bet you will enjoy the T 1s even more!!!!

Thanks for your interest and for joining the forum, lots of good advice came your way thanks to our great forum contributors. In addition to those comments, I thought I'd chime in on a couple things:

1) Speakers behind the screen is, IMO, the only way to achieve a true movie theater like experience.
2) Fabric weave screens are the best, I actually think the weaves from Screen Innovations are the best for audio purposes (a well known speaker company participated in the development). The one you show may be just as good, I'm just not familiar with it.
3) Avoid perforated screens.
3) Transparent screens lose light through them, make sure to choose a projector that has more than "typical" light output.

Based on the budget you've identified, I'd suggest 3 T1s or even T2+s across your front behind an AT screen. That would sound amazing. If the primary use is home theater, I wouldn't worry about the marginal loss behind a screen. For the surrounds, I'd suggest whatever works for your room. If you can go with towers, then I'd suggest the T5s. Otherwise, you could save space with Aons or Invisa series speakers. With that budget, you could easily do an Atmos system with 7.2.4.

I'd recommend either the Marantz AV8802A or the Anthem AVM 60 and matching brand amps for your electronics. The AVM 60 with MCA 525 would sound great and would run approximately $6,500 for 5.1. The Marantz amps are less expensive than the Anthem and the 8802A has been more widely reviewed and praised at this point.

Did you plan to go with 4K/UHD for your projector? This is where I would advise caution. UHD projectors are still an emerging product and extremely expensive. I'd invest on a great quality screen in the neighborhood of $2,500 and purchase a modest projector such as the Epson 5030. UHD projectors should come down in cost significantly in the next couple of years. Otherwise, I think a UHD Sony projector goes for about $8,000.

I hope this is helpful. I'm sure you'll get plenty of ideas on how to spend your money. At the end of the day, make the decisions that best suit you and make you happy. Demo as many options as you can so that you are making the best decisions. Most of all, please share your progress with us.
