Steve Gadd Band / 70 Strong (2015) -- Oh, Yeah!

Experimental day. I decided to give the Emotiva xpa-1's another try. I hooked them to an Adcom GFP-565 Preamp and used my Cambridge Audio Azur 840C cd player. Speaker wires were Military silver/copper and AntiCable 6.2 silver/gold IC's.
HOLY CRAP ON A SHINGLE!! The T Ref's Love power, Period. The wife and i listened to Gadd's 70 Strong cd at 90-101db. Impressed the living crap out of me. Rock solid bass and soaring brass that never got out of control. I LOVE these speakers!

Thanks Bro Anthem!!!
I will mention Steve Gadd in my Music I Recommend thread, thanks to remind me about him.

I must admit I am not surprised, you are the second person I believe who has mentioned that the new TRefs love power.
Ok, yes, yes, I love my toobs, but in my humble experience for modern music (i.e. not chamber music or solos of Eva Cassiday or Norah Jones) I find there is just no getting around it, ya needs power!!!!!
You just can't hardly have too much.

Enjoy the ride, and hang on!!!!!
God Bless,
Wayne
