Bro Anthem,
I know this is asking for an early and very subjective assessment. But I do value your opinion.
You got to have a listen to the T Ones before and now the T References.
And I know you are coming from a long love affair with the T 2s.
Which would you say is the bigger jump up in quality? IF you can say.
From T 2 to T Ones or T Ones to T Ref????
Any educated guess would be appreciated.
Others who have traveled the same road might want to chime in as well.
Thanks,
God Bless,
Wayne

Wayne:
I appreciate your inquiry, but my time with the T1's was so brief (10 minutes) that I couldn't give you an honest and subjective answer. But based on what others have said, the jump from the T2's to T1's would probably be the most pronounced. The jump from the T2's to TR's will yield the most shock and ahhhhh though.

Just got through listening to Moon Hooch / Red Sky -- Rough Sex

The TR'S trounce the T2's on this cd. Much better bass and a clearer more accurate feel. Because of the TR'S higher efficiency, i found myself constantly turning down the volume. Db's were hitting 90 on occasion and finally after several attempts I managed to stay in the 78-86 range. Can't wait to get them broken in (at the rate I'm going it will probably be Christmas) then we'll see if I can move the house off its foundation. ha-ha

Jeremy Pelt / Identity (2005) -- Scorpio

I've listened to this song a couple of times in the past few weeks. Played rather loudly on the TR'S, this song sounds rather Freaky, but Good. Instead of "Free Jazz" maybe they should call it "Freaky Jazz"...

Rick - My Brother From Another Mother
Good choice on the ATI AT525NC Amp. Let me know how you like it. If you think it's a keeper, I may pick up an AT522NC 2-channel Amp.

I've let my subscription to TAS slide for a year or two. A month ago I renewed, and guess what showed up in the mailbox today? The September issue with the Beautiful TR's on the front. This weekend I'll have some reading to do.

Mindi Abair -- L'Espirit

This is a well recorded cd and it shows. The T Refs blew me away...my wife agrees.
