Greetings. I am looking to purchase the Triton Two+ or Triton One. My dealer only has the Ones in stock, so I don’t have the opportunity to compare the 2 side by side. Can anyone provide some commentary of the side by side of the two products? For me, it is easy to justify the incremental expense to go from the three’s to the two+. Now, I am wondering if it’s worth another $1500 to move to the Ones. If you are wondering, I absolutely love the Ones. Any perspectives would be helpful. BTW, this will be the main feature in a 7.1 surround sound setup with the SuperCenter XXL in the middle. I will slowly be upgrading the rear speakers. Thanks again for your thoughts/feedback!

Chazman,
Welcome and great question. Get the TOnes!!!!
My TOnes are the kings of my 7.4 home theater, and they are TERRIFIC!!!!!
You will never regret getting the TOnes. Some day, you MIGHT regret getting the T2+s, I don't know. MIGHT. I moved up from my T2s to TOnes and moved the T2s to the side surrounds. The TOnes are just that much better, more vibrant, detailed, rich, much better bass, they just ROCK!!!!!
The thing is, you will have the TOnes for a VERY long time, perhaps the rest of your life. So pay a bit more now and enjoy them for years and years.
You won't regret it!!!!!
God Bless,
Wayne

Hi and welcome. The Triton Two+ and Triton One sound very similar, within their limitations. There are several aspects of the Triton One that make it "better": a) larger midrange drivers mean a lower crossover to the powered bass section and, b) significantly more output and extension in the powered bass section due to 50% more active drivers and 100% more passive radiator surface (which is really really nice for a large room home theater). With those two items comes improved dynamic range and a higher overall playing ceiling.

Hope that helps.

Wayne, thanks for your feedback. My current system has a pair of ML SL3s. I have had them for 20 years, so I agree that these will likely be the last main speakers I will buy. :)
