With all due credit to Henry Ford, of course. :)

It seems black is the only color for lots of good stuff, including Buick GN's, Ford Model T's, GEt's....

I'll take a black T Ref (or future GEt headphone) any time. (Anyone happen to notice ANOTHER reference to GEt headphones here???) I can dream, can't I?

I can only begin to imagine the list of potential projects the GEt team has in front of it. Totally active T Ref's, headphones, Invisa's with passive radiators, on and on. No wonder we keep tuning in to the GET station!!!

I gotta be honest. Being a gurl, I kinda wish GET speakers came in white, especially the Aeons. Before we auditioned GET speakers we considered ordering the B&W CM10s in white (too expensive, ultimately, for our current budget.) I understand the laws of supply/demand (all you HT peeps) and economy of scale, so black Tritons it will be.

In fact, I have difficulty imagining the Tritons in white, and I think keeping the white cloth clean could be...interesting. I actually like the Triton's minimalist look in solid black - the appearance is sleek and modern, and I don't really get why some people think they're ugly. I had beige Maggies and black Alon IVs, the latter especially were quite homely looking (but they sounded great). My Alon Circes were tallish and slim and covered by a black sock so I'm quite used to the look, and the 2Ts and 3Ts are even narrower (and much MUCH lighter than either model of Alons whch were over 100lbs each).

Hi Rackon, thanks for the "gurl" perspective here, we certainly need way more of that!!!!

I too would think that white speakers would be hard to keep clean.
I too had beige Maggies, then some Apogee Stages. Loved that open sound and am addicted to it, can NOT stand boxy, wooden box speaker coloration. One of many reasons why I love the sound of our GEt speakers. They have a similar openness to me, but pack a much better bass punch, much fuller and richer sounding.
And I find them much easier to place in the room for a great sound.
Just sayin' agree with you on many counts.
Glad you are here with us Rackon.
God Bless,
Wayne

I can tell you from my experience that white cloth covered speakers become dirty, gray covered speakers in pretty short order. Dust in the home and attempts to clean them are enemies of the white cloth. I owned a pair of white Acoustat 2+2 electrostatic speakers MANY years ago and they stayed white for about a month...

Funny. I've never owned white speakers. Always black or wood brown.

I kinda like how black speakers fade into the background as the lights dim, as Wayne said.

I guess I'd consider white speakers as bookshelves, I.E. Aons, but as floorstanders or centers, I really like black. I think it looks classy, hinting at the latent power within. And yes the power is real.

And Rackon, as Wayne already said, it's nice to have you aboard on this forum! Love your writing style!
