Thanks for your hints about future products. since I am considering adding a front ATMOS channel to complement my "top middle" channel, any hint on future products would be appreciated. Right now I'm eyeing HTR 7000's....

Hi Rick,

Nothing new coming for Atmos in-ceiling, HTR 7000 is still our preferred choice for use in most typical ceiling height home theaters. Although we have been working steadily on an "Atmos-Enabled" type product that would not require holes and would not require messing up the current designs with a module of some sort, it does not appear we will be ready to show anything at CES.

Moderator Dude,

Thanks for the feedback. I assume when an up upfiring solution becomes available, the 7000 would still be the preferred solution.

Sorry to hear about CES. I was looking forward to what would show up but it's certainly better to have a new product fuly ready than to have a premature release with a lot of bugs or other issues. I appreciate the dedication to quality. On that note, one of my local GET dealers recently published an endorsement for the FF subs stating that they have sold hundreds without a single defect to date. Thanks to you and the GET team for your commitment to quality and continuing to stand behind your products even after the warranties expire!

Cheers,

T Cobe

Thanks, Moderator Dude!

I would never want to put anything right on top of my front T1's, either....they're too perfect just the way they are.

If there were a GEt free standing, bookshelf type ATMOS height speaker that could be placed NEAR the ceiling, like on top of entertainment centers, or specially placed shelves, that would surely tempt me to audition something like that. But it's nice to know that the Invisa's/HTR 7000 remain the in ceiling (and maybe preferred?) choices.

In the meantime, I'm waiting for the DTS:X firmware update to become available on my Marantz AVR so I can do more height channel listening with the set-up I have. My at home ATMOS type experiences so far are limited to the two ATMOS encoded DVD movies I have purchased.

Thanks again!

Rick

Any updates on this now that the request and responses are over a year old and CES 2016 came and went? CES 2017?

Sorry. Sandy and the engineering team have pushed the pause button on this project as performance and application concerns are addressed more fully.
