Thanks Steveo,
How far back from the TV can you sit, when you are in the listening spot?
Yes, the bass will bounce off both the wall on one side and the cabinet on the other. That is not terrible, necessarily. With 1.85 m between the speakers, will you have the speakers around 40-50 cm from the side walls?
Is it cold there? I would have thought it is getting warm by now. I am in Indonesia this week, nice weather here.
We can figure this thing out.
God Bless,
Wayne

AND, I would think that you might want to try the Triton 2s alone at first, you may be happy WITHOUT an additional sub at all.

Yes I was thinking of trying the 2s without a sub. My listening position is basically where I took the photo.

No it will be 1.85 m or so and they will still be very close to that right wall. I can't push the TV and cabinet any further to the left as it will go too far to the main walk way. I have attached another photo. The photo doesn't do it justice. That's a 65 inch TV in the photo. I will get 1.85m between the speakers . I just measured and I am sitting about 12ft from the TV and where the speakers will be. On a side note the back wall behind me goes another 4feet so I have decided to go for the sat sc 3 GoldenEar instead of the aons. Can these stand up on a shelf without buying the stands? Also I may not have room for the xl. I originally wanted to wall mount the TV. However as you can see from this picture if I mount it I will have even less room on the right hand side if we centre and Mount the TV.

Weather has been cold and wet in Sydney. It has been the wettest season I can remember actually. Good to keep us out of drought.

Thanks for the second pic. That helps. That is a challenging room, Steveo, no doubt.
Is that a hallway, walkway on the left? Looks like it. Then there is no corner over there to mirror the corner on the right side? If that is the case, then balancing things get harder.
The left speaker would be in a walkway?
You would be sitting around 12 ft. away from the TV and the speakers? But the speakers around 7 ft apart? I would move up my listening seat, you probably know, you want roughly an equilateral triangle between you and the speakers. Some small setups actually can sound great!!! And I have a 65 inch TV too, but I like to sit closer than you and let the picture fill my range of vision. It really works great when watching movies. I think that would work better for you too.
I would go with the Aons over the SS.
Yes, cool and wet is better than drought. But we in Thailand are suffering form flooding, again. China has decided to open the floodgates and flood us and Burma.
It is all fun.
Hope this helps, God Bless, Wayne

Thankyou Anthem for showing me those pictures that helps a lot. My dealer didn't even know they came with it and he was trying to sell me the floor standing stands with it which would be a waste as I have room to place these behind me. He did say he will check but your photos have confirmed it. Thanks again.

Wayne I agree I really like the idea of the aon 2 as surrounds however I don't really have the room behind me and the sat 3s may fit better. I haven't seen the aons in the flesh to gauge the size. I ran out of time at the dealer and don't think he had any in stock. The sat 3s sounded pretty good from what I heard and I think would fit the bill but I do like the ultimate Set up too. I will have to check out the aons though.

Yes you are right it is a hallway on the left. It is a hard room. We could move up our seat so it's closer. Seeing the picture do you think the Triton 2 is workable for this room? What are my risks if I buy it? The dealer said it could cancel out the sound if it is bouncing off the walls. Should I even be considering GoldenEar in that room? Let me know your thoughts.

Maybe as well as Wayne and anyone else the moderator could advise as well on these pictures?
