Yes the T2's will work in your situation, just use the level control on the back of the speaker to dial in the amount of bass you want. Don't discount the SuperSat 3's, they are excellent as a surround speaker...they would also sound great in a 2-channel setup paired with a sub. As for your center channel situation, have you considered the SuperSat 50C or 60C...it's only 3 1/2 inches deep (with feet). It could sit directly on the TV cabinet.

I still feel a smaller setup would be to your advantage.

The stands and screws for the SuperSat 3's are on the back of the Styrofoam inner packing...they can be easily overlooked.
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

Well Steveo, I am sure the Moderator Dude and perhaps others will chime in later, once they wake up.
Not gonna lie to you, none of the Tritons will sound their absolute best in that situation, the side firing bass radiators will not be perfect that close to a wall on one side. And ANY speaker pair will not sound its best in a non symmetric room. But the Tritons will sound better there than most speakers, I believe. And the Triton 2s will work better for you than the Triton 7s IMHO. You can turn up or down the subs inside the 2s, but not in the 7s. And the 7s would need you to add a sub, but I don't know WHERE you would put a sub and have it sound good.
Please have a listen to the Aons if you can at all. They are REALLY special. And not that big. If you have a bookshelf behind you, they would sit on there and sound GREAT. IF they didn't need stands, and IF you were into music more than movies, I would definitely recommend them for your front left and right for now, until you have a bigger room.
Whatever way you go, enjoy the ride and IF you go with GoldenEar, I am SURE you will be happy.
All the best, God Bless,
Wayne

Hi Steveo, welcome to the forum. You've gotten some great advice from the members, probably more will come. There's been a lot of questions and answers so I am not sure what has been addressed to your satisfaction, but I will offer a few comments:

1) The Triton Twos are actually better for a small room because of the ability to dial down the bass to compensate for the room gain,
2) In a small room, having the subs built in rather than outboard is a huge plus,
3) "Audiophile" speakers like to "breath" by being a meter or so from walls, this is the way they sound their best. It is not peculiar to the Tritons, but it is also not necessary to enjoy the speaker.
4) Bass cancellation form the side wall? Nonsense, not unless the speaker was right up against the wall and perfectly parallel.
5) SuperSats are excellent for surrounds, I use them with great results - and a very happy wife due to their form factor. Yes, they come with nice table stands (new dealer maybe not yet completely familiar with the line).

Glad to see you are a South Park fan too :)

Thanks again Wayne I will have to check out the aons before I buy.

Thankyou to the moderator for your comments. It's good to hear that although it's not the optimal room I will still enjoy them.

Another thing I have been thinking about is the centre. I don't think the supercenter xl will really fit on my cabinet. I was going to wall mount the TV but I am not sure anymore.

I have read and heard from numerous sources that the 50c is really underpowered next to the Triton 2s and is somewhat of a weak link. In this case and if you look at my picture again would I be better off with the 60c instead? What's the better speaker? The 60c is actually about $200 more than the supercenter xl in my audio store. Will I regret no getting the supercenter xl over the 60c? I would rather buy correctly now and not regret anything later. I haven't heard much about the 60c vs supercenter so any insight would be great.

The 50C and 60C are excellent companions to Triton Twos and designed to be part of a system where center channel bass is handled by the dual Triton Two powered subwoofers. The 60C will handle more power at lower frequencies and can be crossed over a bit lower than the 50C and still "keep up" with the Tritons. The only difference between the SuperSats and the Supercenters is the SuperCenters will play lower and are a better match for our non-powered subwoofer models like the Aons and the Triton Sevens.

Ok cool so what you are saying if I am going to Triton 2s there really is no need for the super xl or x and I will be getting the same sound but in a nicer slimmer form factor with the 60Cs?

If I am using the Triton 2s the supercentre xl will never get as low as it could anyway and the 60c will do everything the xl will do anyway?
If it were you what would you go for considering the space I am dealing with?
