Okay Papa! This is not the time to go real cheap here!
Get your baby some Triton 7s. YES, she will appreciate the quality! Then buy her the best budget turntable you can - the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon. As you know I am partial to Yamaha Amps and there are any number of inexpensive good 2 channel amps to choose from - for example the Yamaha R-S300 that has a built in phono input, so you do not need a separate phono preamp.
Just kidding about the first comment!
Let us know what you decide in the end.
Cheers!

Thanks Bro
I saw this one, but it is not too informative.
I can't find anywhere what driver or drivers are firing backwards? And do you just run speaker wire to them or do you ALSO run LFE cables?
Seem to still be drinking Sandy"s KoolAid. ha ha
Do you think we should take this offline to the PM?
Maybe the Moderator Dude would appreciate that.
God Bless,
Wayne

Go to definitive technology. com and look at the BP-8020ST...the BP2006tl and BP8020ST are very similar. The 2006tl has one tweeter and one midrange on the front (near the top) and one tweeter and one midrange on the back (near the top) plus one 8" subwoofer on the side (near the bottom)...speaker wire is used for hookup to an amp or receiver ( just like the triton 2's) plug in the supplied power cord to an electrical socket and enjoy.
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

Thanks for the suggestions Bro Santhosh, and for the answers/info Bro Anthem.
I would love to get her some Triton 7s!!!! Even Aons. IF she had stands it would be Aons for sure.
But still looking at your suggestion Bro Anthem.
The Pro-ject turntable looked good, but too expensive at this time. Her ex got my old AR with a Linn arm and Grado that I had given them. Scumbag. Never mind, good riddance.
In all honesty, I think she would be best playing the LPs and saving them as files. She would then probably never use the turntable again, but she has a bit of a retro streak to her. So who knows?
I have her looking for a used turntable or something off ebay. I cannot do ebay over here.
Once I know what she finds, then I can figure out the receiver (to phono or not to phono?).
I previously got her a blu-ray player, so she can play CDs, DVDs and BR with that, or her computer and isomething for files.
Slowly coming together. I think,
God Bless, Wayne
