Hey guys, happy owner of T2s and SuperCenter 60C since about 2014 here. Now getting T1s as mains and new XXL as center and moving the T2s to surround duty with the existing Denon 4311ci receiver. The Denon has two LFE pre-outs. Plan to connect the new T1s both via both speaker cables and LFE cables as Sandy suggests.

Question - does it make sense to use LFE splitters and connect also the surround T2s to the LFE pre-outs?

WWSD (What Would Sandy Do)? ;)

Thx

Hey Wojtek, great system, you are gonna love it!!!!!
I don't know what Sandy would do, but when I got my TOnes and moved my T2s to the surround I hooked them all up with LFE with splitters. It will sound awesome!!!!
IF it does not sound totally awesome, then look down the road at upgrading that Denon as that will probably become your weak point (or not).
Enjoy a great sounding system,
God Bless,
Wayne

Yes, that is what Sandy would do (and does).

Thanks all for replies. The system with Ones and mains and Twos as surrounds sounds amazing. Regarding connecting the Ones with the subwoofer cables - the subwoofer out setting on my Denon 4311ci can be either LFE or LFE + Mains, with Mains set to Large.

Which should I use, LFE or LFE + Mains?

Thanks

Hi, Wojtek

If your front T1's are set as large speakers and you have LFE connections, plus LFE to the surround T2's, then the sub setting of LFE will direct LFE to the fronts and surrounds via the sub outs. Using LFE + Mains would double up the LFE bass going to the front mains by sending that same LFE signal via the speaker cable. I.E. double bass.

I would suggest trying the LFE setting, not LFE + Mains.

Happy listening! Enjoy those amazing speakers!
