Impedance is an engineered outcome.

Think SuperSat 60C, not 50C.

This is starting to look/feel/smell like the "Need feedback on FF5 from an owner or dealer" thread...I'm done.
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

Let me assure you, I'm simply trying to research which system I want to invest in. If the XL were to have beefed up L/R stereo capabilities (according to GE here, it does not), I'd be onboard with it versus going with triple 50C/60C or going with normal SC3DA. I appreciate you checking in to let me know you are checking out. There's no way my line of questioning is inappropriate for a QA forum.

Hey, no worries. Your assessment is correct, no additional power handling for the L/R, but a larger enclosure for those drivers is significant in terms of lower frequency dynamics. The reason why we added power handling (more drivers) to the center is that the center channel was the limiting factor for max HT playback levels in a 3D Array. So, the XL will play louder, handle more power, have slightly better LF dynamics, and fit better on the new bigger TVs. But, it is not in any way the equal of a SuperSat 50 or SuperSat 60 L/C/R system. If you can get adequate L/R separation, those are superior systems in terms of ultimate playback levels and dynamics.

Thanks for your help! It sounds like perhaps I'd be better off with 50 for LR and 60 for center which is in line with the XL adjustments (If I go SS route)?

Yes, that would be an excellent combination.
