Just curious on what is the release date? I read its Spring...

I am looking to replace the towers in the living room (13x20) and like to reduce the clutter. I recently bought a 50" soundbar that plays loud but when I am watching a movie, I kept on looking at the middle where the sound was coming out (mounted under the screen). My screen is a 120" . I sit about 15 ft from the screen. Current sub is JL F113.

Hi Tractng,

The 3D Array XL will be shipping in late Spring. We currently expect them in dealers' showrooms by June 1st. Dealers are taking orders now for units from the first release. The room setup you describe will be perfect and you won't be looking at the center anymore, you'll be looking to the outsides of the screen to figure out how the sound could possibly be coming from WAY over there.

Great sub (a little pricey for our market), but should pair beautifully with the soundbar. If possible, get the sub in the front of the room, out of the corner, and with a 120Hz crossover for best overall performance with the big 3D Array XL.

Ready to purchase sc3da but XL has me curious: are the crosstalk drivers now in the center and additional L and R drivers added at ends of the bar?

An additional set of drivers have been added in the middle. From left to right the driver layout will be as such:

(driver - tweeter - driver..........driver - driver - tweeter - driver - driver ...........driver - tweeter - driver)

The actual width is 62" wide but it will do just fine with TVs that are more than 70". The enclosure is just 2.7" thin.

More specifically is it:

+L mid | +L twe | + L mid ....... -R mid | +C mid | +C twe | + C mid | -L mid ......

Are we getting additional L and R drivers or additional center drivers?
