You're welcome, and very welcome here HSAmadeus,
I am sure most, if not all of us here would say that GoldenEar is in a league of its own, in this price range. Well worth the money and the drive. I have driven much farther and, until they were available here in Thailand, I tried hard to get them in another country and ship them here.
The quality and support is beyond what you get with other speakers at this price.
It is your decision though, I hope you enjoy whichever way you go.
God Bless,
Wayne

Wow, it is turning out to be surprisingly difficult to buy a SC3DA. I called the dealer in the closest city to me, Albuquerque, and the salesman I talked to seemed totally confused by the idea of shipping me a unit. He said he would talk to his boss and call me back, but he never called. I also called the dealer in Omaha. He said that maybe they could sell me a unit, but they would charge shipping. (Wayne, I guess you are such a good customer that they didn't charge you,but will charge me. ). He said that since I live in Colorado,he would have to talk to his regional rep to find out if they could sell to me. And, oh, by the way, they don't have any units in stock, and maybe they might get some in a week or so. Maybe. So I asked if I could pay his company, and they could have the unit shipped directly from the Goldenear warehouse to me. Well, he wasn't so sure about that idea and said that he would have to talk to the regional rep about that as well as the issue of whether they could sell to me at all. He seemed bored and uninterested in the whole transaction. I was totally put off by the whole experience. I realize that a $1000 sale is peanuts to a high end audio dealer, but it's still a sale that would fall into their lap, and they wouldn't even have to give a sales pitch. If I don't get someone to agree to sell and ship me a unit by early next week, I am going to give up and buy a different soundbar.
Goldenear, maybe you need to rethink your business practice of selling only thru local dealers. There are thousands of potential customers who don't live in cities where you have dealers, and you are missing out on their business.

Hsamadeus:
Something doesn't sound right here. Are you talking about Custom Electronics in Omah Nebraska? I live in Kansas, 398 miles away, and have had nothing but supreme service from them. The sales people are very knowledgeable about the products they sell. I've never been charged shipping or sales tax. Order today and it's here tomorrow. I don't understand what's going on.

I'm glad you are puzzled by my experience with the Omaha salesman, because maybe that means there might be someone else working there who might be interested in making a sale. It was indeed Custom Electronics I talked to. The salesman was adamant they would charge shipping, if and when they ever deigned to sell me a SC3DA. He didn't seem interested in getting me a timely answer on whether they would sell and ship one directly to me, or have it drop shipped directly from the warehouse. Maybe your experience was different from mine because you are a good customer who has spent lots of money with them.

The salesman I've been dealing with is Timothy L. Balvanz. Give him a try, he'll treat you right. I've dealt with him 3 times and have always been satisfied.
Best of luck.

I'm with Anthem, I can only guess there was a misunderstanding, or else you were talking to the warehouse guy maybe.
That said, our dealers are setup to sell products to their local customers who walk in the door. Someone who calls from out of town may well be treated with less than the best sales skills. Here's what I would suggest to prevent a misunderstanding: Call the store and ask for the manager. Tell him/her you do not have a GoldenEar dealer in your area and you'd like to buy a 3D Array. Also tell them you were told by GoldenEar that your closest retailer (them), would be glad to take the sale and arrange to have the product(s) shipped directly to you. (Sorry, shipping costs are up to the dealer so I can't help you there.)
If for some unknown reason this is not successful, if you email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with your forum name, full name and address and phone number, I guarantee you I can have a dealer on the phone to you immediately, ready to take your CC info and send you the 3D Array. (Again, shipping cost charges would be up to the dealer, but I'm guessing they would be minimal if anything.) You'll have it in 2-3 days.
