Great looking set up, Rustypep!

You’ve done an amazing job planning and thinking through what you want. Lots of entertainment coming up for you and family.

Enjoy!

So do you think I have the rear surround in the right spot or should I move it in a bit more?

I’d leave it right where you planned. You can use your receiver to dial in distances and gain levels from there. These speakers are pretty darn robust in settling in where you find you have to place them given room contraints about joist locations, listening positions etc. as long as you keep enough distance for Invisa 7000s when used as surrounds to present at ear level. And you have done that.

You can do the rest of your sound envelope adjustments with your receiver.

Good job!

Rick

I agree with Rick as well. Leave them there. I have two 7000s for rears on a 10ft ceiling. I feel I went too far back and I found that I had to bump up the gain on them via the receiver more than what was expected otherwise they seemed lost. I wish I could bring them in a coupe more feet but I don't want to get into repairing sheet rock. Good luck with your system.

Hey Rick, just wanted to say thank you. I installed them where I planned. I wrapped up the install this weekend. I went the extra step of building baffle boxes about 1.4 Cu Ft in size out of 1” and 2” foam Insulation sheets. Took some thought and planning but I was able to build a roughly 23x8x17 inch box all through the 9” hole. I filled the joists on both sides of the box with Roxul along with a chamber above the box with a 3” layer of Roxul to control the sound going into the first floor. Sealed everything with spray foam and added 3/4 pounds of batting to wrap it up. Re-ran Audessey and watched the first few movies. They sound fantastic and immediately opened up rear sound stage. I’ll let them break in a bit before I give them a harder listen to see if I need to adjust the batting. Anyway, back to my movie and thanks again for the help.
