Hi southsider

Yes the Triton References are better than the 1's. The 1.R's closed some of the gap but not all.

Everything is up a notch or two, bass slam, clarity, dynamics, sound stage, imaging. I guess whether the extra $ is worth it to anyone is a personal decision, but yes you can definitely hear the difference. The T Ref's have earned their class A speaker rating from Stereophile Magazine, rarefied territory.

If you get a chance to hear some, take it. It would help you make a decision right for you and your budget.

Happy listening!

Rick

Are you looking for the Triton One.R (7500.00 pair) or the Triton Reference (10,000.00 pair) ?

As Rick has stated, EVERYTHING is up a notch or two. The T Refs are several notches above the Triton One.R. If you can, find a store and have a listen.
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!
