Hi all, new to the forums and have been considering the GET reference. In the fall when schedule frees up, I'll be scheduling a demo of several towers, Inc the reference.
Question. How have you found the sound changes from an in store demo vs what you hear at home.
Are there any significant changes? Initially, they will be used in an average multi purpose room setup until funds allow to modify the basement into a dedicated space.
Thanks for your time

Hi Rskvsrwd, Since your dealer's showroom will have different sonic characteristics, different equipment, and different cabling than your home listening environment, I would expect there to be differences in the sound quality heard at your dealer's showroom and what you hear at your home. There will, however, be some sonic characteristics or traits you'll hear at both your dealer's showroom and in your home. These will include an open, 3- dimensional sound stage as well as well as a natural, realistic midrange reproduction. I think you'll find the Triton References will truly compete with substantially more expensive loudspeakers. You might also look at reviews from Stereophile and The Absolute Sound to see how these reviewers described the sound they heard from these towers. Happy Listening!
