The triton seven is 8 ohms but the reading on a multimeter gives 3.7 ohms, is this normal?

Hi jcmorong, Yes. This is normal. The 3.7 ohm measurement would be the correct impedance of the Triton 7 at 0 hz - or the DC resistance of the speaker. As the speaker plays (from 20hz - 20,000hz), however, the impedance of the Triton 7 will average out to 6-8 ohms. Happy Listening!
