I do find the current bass levels to be excellent, but subs like the Kef KC62 are getting great reviews and seem to go a couple of db lower...

Hi Pbgalvin, The Triton One.Rs do a great job of producing clean, deep bass on their own, however, adding a separate subwoofer adds a different dimensionality to the bass heard in a 2-channel system. I like to describe this improvement as a bear hug of bass around the listeners. When considering a separate subwoofer, I'd suggest adding one that could truly add to the low bass response or low bass output of the system. In this case, I'd consider adding the GoldenEar SuperSub XXL. The amount of clean, low bass this subwoofer could add to your system would be truly remarkable. Happy Listening!

Ah thanks moderator. Should have considered Goldenear subs as well. I'll check for reviews etc. Or if someone is using them for 2 channel would be great to hear from you...

Hi, Peter

I think Moderator has hit it. If you want deeper bass fill, a SuperSub XXL is the ticket. Reviews I've read of the KEF KC62 peg it's low end at 25 Hz, and your T1.R's can go deeper than that.

If you have your T Ref's set with LFE feeds in your theater setup, you are getting a taste of what the SuperSubs can do. The T Ref's with LFE are in similar territory for bass output.

I think a SuperSub XXL with your T1.R's would be amazing!

Happy listening!

Following up, I now have a supersub xxl in my 2 channel system with One.R mains.
Definitely brings a new power / impact to the music that plays down that low. Thanks for the idea!
