Hi

Is anyone using the long wall behind their Titons vs, the short wall? If so what have been your experiences. My room is 12'8 inches by 16' 8 inches.

Hi Paul, My inclination would be to place the Triton towers on the long wall. The Triton towers work best when spread out a good bit. Specifically, if your main listening position were 11 feet away from the towers, I would recommend placing the towers 11-13 feet apart from each other and angled inward toward the main listening position. Happy Listening!

Hi Paul,

My room is about 27 feet by 16 feet. My PLP is in the center along one of the 27 foot walls. My Triton Ones are about 2 feet in from either short wall and along the opposite 27 foot wall. So, their spacing is even farther apart than recommended by The Moderator, given the distance across the room between my PLP and the opposite wall upon which the Ones are placed.

My experience matches The Moderator's comments. At room-filling listening levels, the Tritons fill the room with sound and there is very little sense that there is too much directional sound because of the wide spacing. Also, in my case, I have placed the Ones near the short walls to get the best natural bass reinforcement due to the "corner effect" without using any bass enhancement. I am driving the Tritons with a two-channel amplifier with control set flat and the Triton LFE controls at the 12:00 Position.

Happy listening,

Art
