auditioning both tomorrow. currently have a pair of triton 7 paired with 2 paradigm pw 2200s my room is approx. 16 x 30 with 9 foot tall ceilings. anyone on here switch from the 7s to the 5s? am I wasting my time by not going with the 2+.? if 5s are suitable then I can upgrade receiver also. I don't listen too loudly but I do find the 7s lacking when pushed a bit. current receiver is a denon 3805 paired with an emotiva XPR 5 Gen 2. thanks

My guess is there is something you're missing from the T7s. You'll have the answer for yourself tomorrow. Make sure you take some material you are familiar with and a sound level meter. Try to play the same material at the same decibel level between the two models and you will have your answer. Try to remove as many variables as possible in your demo so that you get a true A to B comparison. Let us know how it turns out.
