Are you running KT 88's in the Primaluna? I'd consider tube rolling...try some KT66'S or EL 34's, they will give a different sound. Give Kevin a call at Upscaleaudio.com he'll be glad to help. Different tubes yield different sonic characteristics.
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

If Primaluna's name is on it, you can't go wrong...the Dialogue Premium HP Integrated Amplifier...excellent choice.

I can't believe I totally missed this whole thread!!!!
I guess it was because I was on vacation in the States.

JOHN, are you still there? What did you decide, what did you do? Anything yet?
I also have the Triton 3s and the 2s so I would like to share some ideas with you, IF you still have questions.
The other guys have all given pretty good advice though.

A word on BASS from the Triton (self powered bass section) towers:
What goes in----comes out!!!!
I know, I know, the speakers have their own built in amps and I know they are not power hungry, the amps inside will power the bass.
BUT if you send a bass shy signal into the Tritons, you will get bass shy play coming out. IF you send flabby, messed up bass into the towers, you will get flabby, messed up bass coming out. IF you send good clean solid, spot on bass in, you will get good clean solid bass coming out. Just louder.
This is a remarkable thing, but my friends and I have confirmed this over and over, the Triton 2s and Ones (maybe less so the 3s) will let you hear the quality of your amp like nobody's business. The amp shines through these speakers, or NOT, they will let its ass show if it is not a good amp.

I hope this helps, others can chime in and agree or not.
Happy listening guys, God Bless,
Wayne
God bless the child that's got his own.
