Interesting to note that -15dB +7-8dB Audyssey level set actually means the volume is set at -8dB, which may well be at the edge of clipping for that receiver. You may want to try adding LFE cables and changing sub setting to yes, MIGHT make things easier on the receiver's amp. Have you tried without Audyssey running? Might be interesting to see if the problem remains.
