Currently debating two amp options:

(a) Used Parasound Halo A51. Should be able to get one for ~$2400 and hear before I buy. 250 wpc.
-OR-
(b) New Odyssey Stratos HT-3 ($1600) to drive Triton 3s and SuperCenter, plus a less expensive stereo amp (~$500) to drive surrounds. 150 wpc.

Other deets:
Using Oppo BDP 105 as pre/pro
Room is 18' x 17', but has a slanted ceiling that rises from 8' on one side to 20' on the other.
Actual system usage is ~50/50 music/HT, but musical performance is a bigger factor in the decision.

In terms of on-paper tradeoffs, the Halo is used but has an extra 100 wpc (which may be overkill), versus the new Odyssey with a 20-year warranty. And of course I can't hear the Odyssey before I buy, although they do have a 30-day "free" return policy.

Any experience with these amps and how they match w/ the Triton 3s?

...and...go!

Parasound A51 is excellent, highly recommended. Never heard the other, sorry. Oppo 105 is an excellent source.
