I think the XPR-5 would be a little to much power for my rears and center?

No such thing as too much power really. Like horsepower - great acceleration doesn't mean you have to go 200 mph. :-)

Thanks for the input. Even though you made my decision more difficult :) Do I stick with the V8 or spend the extra on the W16? I guess that is a question only I can answer. Luckily Emotiva has a 30 day return policy. I may order both and try them, then return the one I like the least. However dong this is dangerous, as I will probably end up shipping back the V8 B)

I'm driving my center and surrounds with 3 xpa-1 (500 watts rms @ 8 ohm)

No such thing as "to much power".

I'd spring for the w16...remember, ya can't take it with you. B)
