I am using the 50's as surrounds with Triton Two's in my home theater. The room is 23 by 30 wth ten foot ceiling. How high on the side and rear walls should they be mounted? I have always been told that surround speakers should be at ear level.

Hi - I use 50's for my surrounds as well. Positioning of surrounds and rears is entirely a preference thing, Personally, I do not like surround and rear speakers at ear level - I prefer the surround field be somewhat above me, rather than in my face. I have my 50's mounted as high as my just-under-eight-foot ceiling allows and the surround presentation is spectacular. I'm sure many in this forum (maybe half?) prefer ear-level installs - maybe someone on the other side will share their opinion on this too.
