I just recently got two triton 7's and a supercenter x and I am wondering about the feet on the center, my tv stand is fairly tall so its almost at ear level so I just set it on the stand without feet not that the feet would put it to high , Im just wondering if I should put the rubber feet on it not sure if just setting it on the stand without them will have a negative affect on sound or not thanks all. So far im absolutely loving goldenear sound!!

Congrats on your selection of the T 7s and the SC X.
I love my SC X and yes, I would recommend putting the feet on if you have room. Simply for the little bit better isolation value they provide. You don't want any vibrations from the X to get into the TV stand and cause any resonances there.
Obviously I don't really know because I have no idea about your stand or setup.
Do whatever works best for you. There are no rules here.
My SC X is playing without its cheek plates!!!! I had to take them off to make it fit into the restricted space I have for the speaker.
I am sure it does not hurt any of the sound by taking them off, perhaps it MIGHT even help (just kidding) because it is a REALLY SWEET sounding center channel, incredible really for its size.
Whatever sounds best to you.

thanks for the response im looking at it now, so I just tap these threaded brass inserts through the cloth grill? Im a little concerned lol

edit I might just leave them off lol the book says optional leveling feet and it seems you have to really hit them hard to get them started and that just goes against every fiber of my being taking a hammer to my goldenear speaker

This may be one for Moderator Dude to give some guidance. Don’t know if the feet provide any isolation effect beyond the leveling part.

I had to install feet on my Supercenter to aim it at ear level. Did it gingerly. Actually it wasn’t that hard to do, if you decide you want to install them.

yea hopefully moderator dude will chime in, you just used a regular hammer or did you use a mallet? also how gingerly? it seems you have to break through the fabric, I gave it a few good taps and it wouldnt start so I dont know if im not centered or just need to hit it harder but goldenear speakers arent cheap ( gulp ) lol

I used a regular hammer, gently at first, and gingerly increased the force until the bolt went through the fabric. Wasn’t traumatic at all.

If you decide to install feet, don’t worry, it’s not that difficult.
