Grado wireless phones arrived today. Have not had time to work with them yet. Watching The Tide Roll now, so maybe tomorrow.

Will report.

Happy Listening,

Art

Let us know Art, and have a great, safe surgery!!!!
IF I were a betting man, and I am not, I would bet these new headphones will not touch your SR125s.
Will be interested to hear.
My oldie but goodie Grado headphones are great rock and roll players, only problem is keeping foam ear pads on them as they deteriorate and crumble quickly.
Having said that, I retired them when I got my HiFiMan planar headphones.
Happy listening,
God Bless,
Wayne

Hi Wayne,

Yes, I experienced crumbling foam ear cushions with my SR125 phones. I contacted Grado a number of years ago and they provided replacement cushions at no cost to me.

I'll post my impressions of the wireless phones after some critical listening.

Happy listening,

Art

Grado Wireless Phones - First Impressions:

1. Pairing was simple. With Bluetooth enabled in my business/travel laptop. I turned on Phones and they paired and connected automatically/

2. Phones worked with all three of my preferred music players (MusiCHI, MusicBee and Foobar).

3. Listened to several favorite "test" classical selections. Phones performed as anticipated. Sound was open and musical without any of the "boominess" or "closed hollow sound" of my Sony closed-ear noise canceling headphones.

4. Also as expected, low tones are audible, but not emphasized. The sound is very comparable to the sound of my SR125 Grado wired phones.

More listening is planned as I have time to do so. I will also experiment with additional settings options availble through the various music players to see what, if any, impact results.

Will update again after additional listening.

Happy listening,

Art

Hey Art, I'm curious about the file transfer rate (maybe you already addressed this). Are you getting mp3 or redbook CD or CD quality flac over the Bluetooth connection?
