Finally got a 60C to replace the (other brand formerly associated with Sandy) center that we had been using with the Triton 2 for left and right front speakers. The first evening we watched a movie with the 60C in place, my wife commented several times on how much clearer the dialog sounded, and how much nicer the overall sound quality was.
The integration between the 60C and the Triton 2 is superb. We have a very large room - really high ceilings, opening to a kitchen and a very high ceiling foyer, and the Triton 2 with the old center always sounded like three distinct speakers. With the 60C, it's a sound field. Sounds so nice we've been picking movies with great music sound tracks a lot.
Now I'm trying to decide what to use for rears. Because of the size of the room, and it's awful geometry (open on one side in back but not on the other), if the rear speakers don't have enough bass extension, the surround field seems uneven. Started with a pair of small video-system speakers from that other brand, which is how I discovered the problem with insufficient bass. Am using a pair of B&W CM1 right now for the rears, which have much more bass than most video-oriented small speakers, and they seem to integrate better - although they don't have the tweeter clarity of the Goldenear speakers. I'm thinking Aon 2 or Aon 3 may work better than the SuperSat 3, because they'll be fuller range. Any opinions?
