Hey guys,
I’m trying to sell my Triton Ones due to a move to a different country with different voltage.
One potential buyer asked me if they are good for cinema use in terms of sound levels.
As far as I understand, these speakers are not intended for high SPLs as cinemaholics usually desire and maybe even can harm the speakers (especially the ribbon tweeter).
Is that really the case, or the can actually serve well in a high SPL environment in home cinema use?

Thanks

Although the T1 can play loud, I probably would not recommend them to a person who is used to theater speakers designed to meet certain SPL requirements in a theater.

I see. Is there a specific SPL level they still perform at their best and yet load?

Not sure what you mean by "load". There is no specific SPL level we try to meet and it would really depend on how hard the potential buyer wants to drive them.

I’m not technically trained on cinema audio specs, but I’ve played countless movies at very loud levels on supersats, t7’s, and t2’s - and they’ve always performed very well.
Triton Two front L/R
SuperSat 50c center
Triton Seven surround L/R
SuperSat 50 surround rear L/R
AVR Arcam AVR-21
Amp Marantz mm7025
Velodyne optimum 10” sealed, back left corner
SuperSub X front-right corner
