thanks for your input. I purchased the XXL sight unseen ,based just what I read. Then I read that message that a dealer said the XL was just a good as the XXL. I figures I spent and extra $500 for no gain. then I read your message and another one about the matching x overs as the Triton1's. I feel I made the correct choice!! thanks Don

Chucinator - You made the right decision and will love it. If your budget can afford the SuperCenter XXL it is the best match for the Triton Ones. The Moderator mentioned the key item...the balanced crossover technology. It's so smooth and nicely balanced.

For those with the SuperCenter XL, don't get me wrong, the XL is an excellent center speaker but the best match is the XXL.

Get some burn in hours on those speakers and sit back and enjoy music as it was intended to be listed to.

Triton Ones, Super CenterXXL, and SuperSat 50s.

Didn't originally want to chime in here... I've owned a Supersat 50C, SCXL and SCXXL as center speakers. All have performed admirably. And all have matched tonally perfectly with the other GEt speakers. I continue to be awed by how GEt does that.

Differences? Each was a step up in terms of center channel contribution. The XL vs the XXL? Well, more of everything. Clarity. Punch (that rascal can play with any of the big boys, and is a heavy lifter! Yes, it makes it's presence known!).

Any of the GEt speakers play perfectly with any of the other GEt speakers, so there's no such thing as a wrong choice.

But, yes, moving up the GEt speaker product line, each step is definitely a big one!

I received my XXL today from GE. It is a rocking beast! punch and dynamics. My previous center, a Magnepan cc3, was good but dialog and dynamics were tame compared to the GE. it mated ok with my 1.7i's but not like the XXL!
