I was not going to replace the 1605. I was thinking of adding an amp connected to the preouts for the L/R front speakers. Then connecting just the Aons to the amp. However, once again Wayne, your advice is sound.

Yes, New Golden, I got that!
Everything I said above was with that thinking in mind. I still think adding another amp L/R is not what I would spend money on first. I would add towers, and then more amp, but up to you!!!!
Happy listening,
God Bless,
Wayne

After careful consideration, I will not add an amp. Wayne's advice is spot on, as usual. I am going to enjoy my system as is. It is truly wonderful. Upgradeitis cannot be cured by modern medicine but can be kept under control by the fine folks on this board.. Thanks

Smart man New Golden!!!!
However, if you saw me surrounded by GEt speakers, you would realize that I am NOT immune to upgraditis AT ALL!!!!!
Far from it. I am just convinced after many years at this, that great speakers make MORE of a real, audible difference than amp upgrades. In my humble opinion.
But please keep us informed what ever you do in the future. Most of us have had to save up for our dream changes, upgrades.
BUT enjoy what you have, it is already a WAY better system than most people in this world have!!!!!
Happy listening,
God Bless,
Wayne
