So guys, it has been quiet here, me too.
LOTS going on, some good, some not.
The good is that I am breaking in the EarTech Music Quads (pictured below) that were designed for me and sent for me to evaluate. They are great with my new Cowon Plenue M2.
More to come on that.
But we had a set back with the ministry where we are trying to help trafficked or at risk women. We had a young (22) woman in the program who wanted training and was as sweet as could be, but sooooo poor, married to a dirt poor guy who is training to be a minister among the Lawa hill tribe in Burma. She had a known heart problem, took meds and we got her medical attention; but she went down hill last week and passed away in the hospital. Her family and husband came across the border, not a penny to their names to pay her medical bills, ambulance, no way to take her body back to Burma, we had to pay to bury her here and for the service (in a partially built church--DIRT POOR!!!! pic below), had to pay for everything for them. AND others took credit for the things we did!!! ha ha
It is OK, we don't need credit.
But the whole thing is so sad and pretty devastating to our attempts to help these ladies.
If any of you pray, we could use some prayers. Thanks.
Anyway we carry on.
And thankful to have good music to listen to during my walks.
Better news next time, God Bless,
Wayne

Hi Wayne,

Your group did all that was possible and that is what will remain, when the other elements have faded away.

Condolences and Blessings,

Art

Hey, Wayne

Guess I've been asleep at the wheel, just saw this....

Sad. This stuff trumps our "goings on" in the world of first world audiophile activities...

Good for you for caring and getting involved, my friend! Prayers are in order.

Take care and God bless.

Rick

So, my ciems and new DAP are broken in, really sounding great.
I have loaded some DSD files on it, in addition to the sample ones that came with it, and sounded so good, and my new ones sound wonderful.
Just waiting on the new cable. I returned the silver litz one as I did not think it was doing me any good at all, and upgraded it to a gold plated silver cable, supposedly Whiplash Audio's best cable. It was not much more expensive than the one I was trading in, so thought I would try it.
BUT it has been over 3 weeks since my freight forwarder rec'd the replacement cable, but it is stuck in customs here in Thailand. Not sure how long I will have to wait to get it.
Patience is not one of my best qualities.
ARRRRGGGGHHHHH
Will report back,
God Bless,
Wayne
