I agree with T Cobe, lots of AVR's roll off LFE to fronts, that they pass willingly to subs. In my case, the original set-up I had was with a NAD T757 and T2's, no LFE connection, sub off. Adding LFE connects and sub on just exploded the bass in 5.1 formats . Re crossover settings for the LFE, give some options a try. Typical is 120 HZ, but as T Cobe has said on many occasions, room modes and listening preferences matter, so try several settings. It's what sounds good to you that matters.
Also, I did take a look at the back panel manual online of your AVR. It has 2 sub outs, which you could use to connect LFE to your Tritons, but does not appear to have pre-outs for the fronts to feed to an external amp. Your call. Maybe try adding LFE connects and see what you like and if that works for you in all modes, or check with your dealer to see if other AVR options with front pre-outs are available with trade-back... If you absolutely love the SQ you get with the present set-up and LFE connects added, most GEt HT set-ups, per the Moderator Dude, also do not utilize external amps, AVR's only.
This the beauty of this forum, lots of help available, but YOU are the person who has to love the SQ, so your choice, it's your system and you get to choose what's right for you. There are no 'right" or "wrong" settings. When you find find what YOU love, then that's right.
Happy listening!
