Asking GoldenEar moderator to weigh in on this please....

I read in one "professional" review that the sub-woofer adjustment control dial on the lower rear of unit operates from 100 Hz down and that the 11 o'clock position is -2db from center (12 o'clock). Assuming the aforementioned is correct, I have the following questions.

1) Does the control operate from 100 Hz and lower only, or is it centered at 100 Hz like a parabolic equalizer?

2) If 100 Hz downward only, what is the tolerance? Meaning, is a frequency of 101 Hz completely ignored?

3) Is the 2 db adjustment linear? Meaning, if 11 o'clock is - 2 db and 1 o'clock is + 2 db, does this mean that 10 o'clock is - 4 db, 9 o'clock is - 6 db and so on?

Basically correct, yes.

1) The volume control adjusts the level of the powered bass section, which rolls off at 100 Hz (-18dB/octave-ish I believe);

3) It is a linear control, I believe it allows for about +/- 9dB of total adjustment
