I received a new 200x5 amp to go along with my existing Triton Two's and Yamaha 250x2 for front mains. Now I feel better about having THX-dB-Level ability for the peaks in the 105 dB range. Granted, this 109.7dB peak is an A-weighted meter, but at the seating position 9' away, I heard no distortion or thinning that I could tell.

I have to say, though - the SuperSats sound very good, with surround and even 7-channel stereo, but the Triton Two's sound that much better over stereo.
7.1 today, moving to 7.1.4 tomorrow
(2) Triton Two - front mains
(1) Sat 60C - center
(2) Sat 50s - sides
(2) Sat 50s - rear
(2) DIY 18" Stereo Integrity subs, 1100w each

X3 on the sweet set up! 109.7 is some spirited listening! Congrats. I look forward to hearing more about it. How do the T2s sound compared to before at the same volume levels? Any different? I'm pretty happy in my 75-90 dB range but think a little headroom would sound nice.

Cheers,

T Cobe

I think the Yamaha M-80 sounds better on the Triton Two's than the SuperSats, but I cannot tell if it's the amp or the speakers. It's likely the speakers, but the Yamaha is quieter than the Sherbourn

Murphyslaw1978,
It is to be expected that the Triton 2s sound better than the SuiperSats.
BUT, it is not expected that the Yamaha sounds quieter than the Sherbourn. I am not saying you are wrong, just that this is
not what one would expect. Perhaps something is set up wrong?
The M 80 is a classic, and especially in Class A mode, it could well be better and quieter than a LOT of new amps.
Maybe the Yamaha should be your primary amp for the front left and right Triton 2s?
Let us know how it works out and how it sounds?
Have fun listening,
God Bless,
Wayne
