Sorry, Wayne. I guess trying to be clever and talking around brand names is not the easiest to follow. The model I compared the T7 to is the Paradigm Prestige. To be precise, it was the 75F, which is their lowest cost tower in this new line. They were $3,500 a pair and in my opinion, not as good as the T7 in terms of value. I suspect some double blind tests may yield some in favor of th Prestige but once the price tag is revealed...
The "diamonds" I'm referring to are indeed B&W. Not Canadian and confusing in my original post, sorry. I compared the T1 performance to some of the Diamond series and the Prestige 85F and again, it was hands down for GET in terms of value and sound. IMHO, the Prestige is a step back from the outstanding Studio Series and the price has gone up significantly. Wrong direction in order to stay relevant.
Back to the original point in support of Sandean's original point, it's back to the drawing board for some very well respected and excellent brands. Again, I don't mean to disparage these competing brands, they are both great. Both provide affordable solutions but GET simply raises the bar! Thank you Mr. Gross, to you and your team, for brining such great sounding products down to an extremely affordable level. Now nearly everyone can enjoy great sound, provided they don't shop for sound bars at big box stores.
Cheers,
T Cobe
