Enjoying the Tritons more and more.

I have been using the Denon 4311 with Audyssey MultEQ XT 3, the avr has the ability to provide 2 channel direct/stereo and sounds great. However, when I auto calibrate I continue to get a phase error with one speaker, Denon suggest to skip this as the Tritions might be phased this way.

Is this correct?

Glad to hear you are enjoying the Tritons. I have heard of this before with some Audyssey systems - I believe their interpretation is correct and it should be ignored. If something was actually out of phase there would be a sonic issue to go along with it.

Perhaps other forum members that use Audyssey can offer some insight.

This is fairly common and the general consensus is the system sounds better without the Audyssey correction. I have no idea why the out of phase message appears but your summary is correct, the speakers are fine. In our experience, room correction outside the low frequencies is a very mixed bag.

I had the same issue with my Marantz SR5008 and one speaker with the out of phase issue didn't sound right so I made sure all my speaker wire and banana plugs connection was tight and ran the Audyssey test several times until I got it right and sounds awesome.

I've also heard that it's good to "run the Audyssey test several times."
