file Acoustical treatment for the ceiling?

Just purchased the supercenter xl and was wondering if i should acoustically treat the 1st reflection in the ceiling?

Thanks for your purchase, enjoy.

Generally this is not an issue, unless the speaker is very close to the ceiling or the ceiling is overly reflective. Since your center speaker should be aimed at the seated listening position ear height, most of the energy will be directed away from the ceiling. Also, a little reflective energy in the room tends to give a move "lively" or "airy" sound that you may actually prefer.

I was curious because of the speakers mount on top of the supercenter XL. I will have to listen to the accoustic of the room and adjust accordingly. Thanks for the response. Marcus

The drivers on the top of the speaker are passive radiators, they will not be playing any reflecting frequencies.
