Hey, Anthem and T Cobe

I'm with you both.. a GEt headphone would be SO high on my list!!! I'd get one "in a minute"

Our NY family has been here for the last three days, and listening to the SONY headphones with Dragonfly amp/DAC. They love it, like "being at a concert". All I know it's close to but not anywhere near as good as GEt surround.

What a great week end! Swimming, boating, kayaking, tubing.. and Judy got outside, with help.

Yup, life's good.

Is this the official headphone thread?
Well, I will post a coupla suggestions here anyway:
Since we all have great speakers and these are only for special service, I am going cost effective (what I perceive as value for money) here.
For travel, out and about, I recommend the RHA MA750 in ear monitors. There are way better, but at $120 on Amazon these are really great, IF they fit your ears. I struggle to find any in ear that fit correctly, all of them have to be inserted and seated deeply to have the right bass balance. But they are great for air travel.

And for listening when she who must not be disturbed is around, I listen with the HIFIMAN HE-400I now listed at Amazon for $420. It really needs an amp to sound its best (tubes again here boys)! These are open and not for listening around others. But they have the open natural sound we all enjoy from our GEt speakers.
Just some suggestions since it is HIGHLY unlikely that we can ever get GEt headphones with the awesome HVFR inside.
God Bless,
Wayne
God bless the child that's got his own.

I would actually recommend the HiFiMan HE 400S (not the I)

Cheaper, better sounding, more efficient. I can even run them off my phone.....

I bought the Dragonfly Red DAC to go along and the "Dragon Tail" USB and my phone sounds almost as good as my home system on these phones. The RED version has very low draw...can listen to my phone for hours.

For travel and privacy though I like my Sennheiser Urbanites. Closed cans, good sound great bass...and on the same DAC sounds pretty darned amazing. And they are not a fortune.
