I have it crossed at 40hz (nice crisp bass). The bass is not as loud as the powered sub sectoin on the Trition 1's but its a nice balance.

I like the XXL so much that I have started to play some music in Dolby PIIZ Music so that I can use the XXL with music. It all blends very nicely.

I will be be upgrading from the XL to the XXL when I get back to TX in Sept. I too love adding center channel, and often rear surrounds, when playing 2 channel music.

Your description just whets my appetite for the XXL!
