I wanted to follow up on this thread because I would like to go the route of enabling Atmos on my system, but concerned about a 6'7" low ceiling height. Dolby recommends 8-9' and then says that for lower ceilings, reflected speakers might be the way to go. They even say that some prefer this route (I found two Whitepapers online, and this is the one I'm referring to: cdn-blog.dolby.com/wp-content/uploads/20...eaker-Technology.pdf)

I guess Atmos is too new today to get an idea on how well this works across various home theater rooms, let alone low ceilings like mine. But if anyone has ideas, I'd be willing to entertain them.

Also, here's the other whitepaper: cdn-blog.dolby.com/wp-content/uploads/20...the-Home-Theater.pdf
