Folks, any thoughts ??

I have installed many systems and have seen some improvement with upgrading power cords for Amps, etc.. but, curious if anyone has upgraded their power cords to their Triton towers and really seen a difference?

I have a pair of Ones on order and was considering swapping out the basic cords that come with the speakers for something like PS Audio or Magic Cord. I dont want to spend crazy money but $150 fto upgrade a pair of cords is reasonable if it improves the sound.

Thanks for your opinions,

TJ

Sandy likes to use aftermarket power cable upgrades on anything that plugs in the wall, including the Tritons. We use upgraded (but fairly basic) power cords in all of our trade show demo systems.

Thanks Winefix and Moderator Dude.
I too am using aftermarket power cables with my Triton 2s and 3s.
I would think they would be a good idea with the Ones,
And if Sandy does it, that is good enough for me!!!!
My theory about tweaks is, IF I can afford it comfortably do it. I might not be able to hear a difference in this little tweak or the other one, but add them all together and they might make an audible improvement.
I know my system is sounding pretty sweet. Because of any tweaks? Maybe, maybe not.
My biggest and best sounding tweak you ask??? Thanks for asking:
Because the ForceField 5 is one powerful sub and fires downward, but is not that heavy, I find that having my wife sit on it, straddled on top of it while we watch movies makes a BIG improvement. Couples it better to the floor!!!!
Sounds great and she likes it too. She keeps saying, play that explosion again!!!!!
Enjoy,
God Bless,
Wayne

I too use aftermarket power cables for my Triton 2's (Emotiva) results are minimal but bass does appear tighter..

Wayne, I never thought of the sub...Juanita likes the washing machine.

Dear Goldenear moderator,

Can you please recommend a specific brand of power cables that Sandy would recommend for the Triton Ones ? Of course, something that has a good price/quality ratio would be ideal. thank you!

Through the years this question has been asked before, but never answered with a definite response.

Maybe a better question might be; "Moderator," Do "YOU" use an aftermarket power cord on your Triton 2's? If so, would "YOU" mind revealing which brand and model? If "YOU" use the factory cord only--but wanted to replace it--what would "YOU" use?
