I just picked up my TritonCinema 2 system and am anxiously awaiting when it will be set up. (Still a month away until their new home is ready) I will be placing the Supersat 50 C in a BDI cabinet in its speaker opening 28" wide 8" high and 17.5" deep. The speaker will only be about 14 inches off the floor so I want to angle it up slightly. In addition, since I read the bass is supported when it wall mounted, I would like to construct a wood 'panel' that I would mount the speaker on and position it in the current opening. That would also allow me to use the space behind it to house/hide my ROLLS phono-preamp and SONOS Connect.
A couple of concerns though -
1st - I am thinking of using an aluminum angle the length of the board to mount it to the cabinet both top and bottom for rigidity (screwed into both) - any problem you can think of with that approach as opposed to a couple of angle brackets or several wood blocks (glued and screwed)?
2nd - should the speaker be placed at the very front of the space or slightly recessed?
3rd - will the components mentioned create interference and effect the sound of the speaker if they are located right behind it? I will be using a Transparent WAVE speaker cable to attach the 50C to my Integra receiver.

Thanks for your time - since I can't listen to the speakers - I can only obsess on creating a great home for them!

Thanks for your purchase, you in for a treat.

At 14" off the ground, the 50C will need significant angling to reach ear level at your seated position. so make sure to provide for that. There is no reason for the wall reinforcement - this is a "nice" addition on a SuperSat 50 or SuperSat 3 single subwoofer system, but not for a TritonCinema. The suggested crossover is above the frequencies that are reinforced by wall mounting. Save yourself a lot of effort and skip that part.

Regarding your other questions: 1) Place the 50C as far forward on the shelf as possible; 2) The other components should not cause any interference issues.

Enjoy!
