For owners of Tritons and Line Magnetic, what dac are you using?
I have Tritons 2+ ,Line Magnetic 845ia integrated ,Marantz ND8006 CD player/streamer and want to add separate dac.

Hi Greg. I do not use or have any experience with Line Magnetic equipment. Nevertheless, and without knowing your budget, I'll offer an opinion as to what in all likelihood would be a compatible DAC. I'd recommend looking at a Schiit Yggdrasil OG www.schiit.com/products/yggdrasil Of course, there are many other choices in the land of DACs, and I'm biased in that I own an Yggy A2 OG. But I have listened to a number of other DACs on a number of systems besides my own and I'll stand pat with my Yggy.

Thank you for your recommendations.
Does it have filters or tone controls?

You're welcome, Greg.

Note that I did provide a link to the Schiit Yggdrasil manufacturers web page, so you can view the specifications and features.

To my knowledge, there are no DACs made by any manufacturer that include tone controls. Tone controls are independent of DAC functionality.

As to filters, no, the Yggdrasil does not have any. To my knowledge, there are no multi-bit DACs with filters; only certain delta sigma DACs have filters.

Best of luck in your search for a DAC. :)

Great. Have to get into that more.
That less is more looks good, suppose to be the smoothest out of those three yggdrasils at the top end and that’s what I am looking for.
