Is there anything I can do to Improve the acoustics? Bass traps or something?

I think room treatments do help, but it would depend on your room setup and problems. Sometimes they're a little pricey. Although I don't have any personal experience with GIK acoustics, I believe they have a free help section on their website gikacoustics.com that might help.

One of the reasons I went with GE, was their towers with the built in subs. I don't use any additional subs. Have you thought about upgrading your fronts with Tritons with powered subs and using your 5's for surrounds? You might find some used ones that are budget friendly.

Hello,

I was going to suggest looking at dual Rythmik Audio 12" subwoofers (www.rythmikaudio.com/F12SE.html) as it's a wonderful product but I don't think you can possibly go wrong with the dual SB4000 for the price you referenced.
