Had me going there for a minute, Rick! I would just add that bass source placement does matter because of interaction with low frequency room modes.

I'll bow to others who are multi-channel experts. I'm just a 2-channel guy. But the room is similar in size to mine (I also have a slanted ceiling, 8 ft front to 12 ft rear), and I can say that both T1s and TRefs sound great in that room.

I think what rjohn meant to to say. and rightly so, is that bass frequencies are the most room dependent/room affected.
