Hello - Which speaker handles overall center channel duty better, a freestanding SuperSat 60C or SuperCenter X? The room is fairly small (13'x15'x9' ceiling). Aesthetically the shallow but long SuperSat 60C is the better option for sitting on the shelf space we have available than the relatively narrow and deep SuperCenter X. Specs don't suggest a clear advantage of one over the other.

Thank you,
Allan

Hi Allan,
You know about opinions everyone has one same as they have a.....
Anyway, you asked, and so here is my opinion.
I have the SC X and LOVE IT!!!!! It does an outstanding job in my home theater, fits right in. Others will disagree with me, I am sure.
Anyway, I am sure you cannot go wrong really.
But my vote is for the SC X.
Happy listening,
God Bless,
Wayne

Everyone has one and I value them all. Thank you Wayne.

The 50C and 60C descriptions suggest they are well suited for use with Tritons but don't specify if that's wall mounted, freestanding, or either.

Set up properly, they will sound exactly the same. The caveat would be that with the SuperSat your subwoofer(s) need to be in the front of the room, and if a single, near the center speaker.

Thank you. Unfortunately the sub only fits in one spot and that's on the opposite wall between a sofa and dog crate. Yeah, it's a challenging room.

Not that unusual, and still OK with either, but, the SuperCenter will allow for a lower crossover point to the sub making location clues less relevant.
