I have my T2’s (and other GEt gear) running off a marantz a/v reciever & separate Marantz amp. A couple of points on integrated a/v receivers:

1. The power rating is only good when driving 2 channels. E.g., the 6010 claims 110wpc - but that’s only when driving the front l/r only. My system sounded a lot better after I added a separate 125wpc 2 channel amp just for the front l/r.

2. The DAC inside the marantz (and most a/v receivers) is just... ok. Nearly any outboard DAC will sound substantially better. With speakers as resolving as the tritons, a better DAC may make even more of a difference than adding pure power.
Triton Two front L/R
SuperSat 50c center
Triton Seven surround L/R
SuperSat 50 surround rear L/R
AVR Arcam AVR-21
Amp Marantz mm7025
Velodyne optimum 10” sealed, back left corner
SuperSub X front-right corner

If you use your system for music listening as well as HT then I'd recommend the Marantz line (I've owned both Yamaha and Marantz). But I'd also second the recommendation for checking out good sounding, budget friendly British gear like NAD, Cambridge (currently on sale at Crutchfield), or Arcam.

To really hear what your speakers can do, you'd need to go to separates - even an outboard DAC would make a difference for serious music listening. Personally, I'll always take sound quality over features, especially with speakers as revealing and transparent as the Ones.

Congrats on your Triton Ones - they are great speakers! Go for the best sounding gear you can afford, new or demo, and they will repay you in spades.

Bonjour.

Congratulation for your buy. I started this thread a while ago. Finally I settled neither for a Yamaha nor a Marantz receiver but for an Anthem 720 since I needed better room eq for the T1 bass. Only the signature ARC room correction sounded good enough for me.
Regards,
Federico
